Comprehensive Life
Insurance Solutions for You

We offer tailored life insurance options to fit your unique needs. Our expert guidance ensures you make informed decisions every step of the way.

Personal Life and Health Insurance

We’ll talk you through all your options, whether you already have personal life and health insurance, or it is your first policy.  After our first 45-minute meeting, our clients generally understand exactly what's on offer, and what they'd like to take.

Existing Life and Health Insurance?

If you already have cover in place, we can still make sure it’s up to date. If someone has a good policy in place, we rarely look to change it. This is especially true with Health insurance as ‘If we sneeze wrong, a health insurer will exclude sneezing.’ So, if you already have a policy, we’ll most likely keep what you have. Any changes we make will improve your policy. We’ll never downgrade you, that's what keeps a good adviser awake at night.

Business, Life and Disability Insurance

Business owners have a lot of risk and no time. We’ll take you through a smooth process that doesn’t take you away from the day-to-day. We’ll talk through everything from what happens if a key person can no longer work, to shareholding transfers when a shareholder passes away or is never returning to work. Staff rely on you to keep the business running, insurance allows you to keep good on that responsibility, even when our health gets in the way.

Business - Group Insurance

Group insurance can cover our employees for Life, Disability and/or Health Insurance. It can offer cover for a whole team with NO EXCLUSIONS, meaning even if they have a condition already, they’re still covered and will receive their treatment within the shortest timeframe possible. It’s an incredible tool to show your staff you care, it garners loyalty and is even better at getting staff back to work quick, rather than relying on the government. There are minimum requirements, so If you're interested, get in touch.

Estate Planning Review

We’re not Lawyers, we can't set up the paperwork, but we’ve seen the best and worst of estate planning. From families that were sorted in weeks, to some that have taken over 2 years and cost over $100,000 in legal fees. We always ask a few key questions to ensure you have everything in order. Families should be left to grieve, not fight the legal system. It allows you to look after your family even when you’re no longer around to dictate your wishes. We’ll point you back to your lawyer or refer you to one we trust. In our opinion, there's no better peace of mind.

Claims

You call us, we come to you. We know what all claims look like, easy or hairy. We’ve been through it before and we’re here to make it easy for you. All you need to do is call us, and we’ll take you through the rest.

If you need to claim, pick up the phone and call us now!

Messages From Those We’ve Helped

Meet Zak, your Health and Life Insurance Expert

"I’ve been doing this job for almost a decade and the reason I’ve chosen to stay in this industry is because of claims. From clients in absolute chaos, to little ‘I didn’t know I could claim on that’ moments, following claims through to payment is why I'm still an Insurance Adviser.

I specialise in explaining complex concepts in simple terms. To me, there’s no point explaining such a taboo subject with difficult-to-understand jargon. I prefer to explain everything in terms anyone will understand. It’s just easier for everyone that way.

Being a Dad, the sole income of a home, and the owner/operator of a business, I have to find the balance between value and budget in my own life. So, I take a very honest and pragmatic attitude towards making sure your insurance policy follows the same principles.

The fantail, to me, has been a great tool for grief and represents my communication channel with all those that have fallen before me – It’s a reminder that life is short, the unexpected will usually happen. It’s a reminder of the lessons my loved ones taught me. But mostly it’s a reminder that I can still share memories with those I miss the most - they paved the way for me to be here."

FAQs

Find answers to the most common questions about life insurance to help you make informed decisions and protect what matters most.

What is life insurance and how does it work?

Life insurance is a contract between you and an insurance provider. It provides financial protection for your loved ones in the event of your death. You pay regular premiums, and in exchange, the insurer pays a lump sum to your nominated beneficiaries if you pass away during the term of your policy.

Why do I need life insurance?

This is quite specific to each client. The main two reasons are debt and dependents. It's a tool that ensures that your loved ones are financially protected if something happens to you. It's a lump sum you can use for whatever. The primary objectives are to cover living expenses, debt, mortgage payments, and even education costs for children. Life insurance is the cheapest and easiest way to make sure if the worst happens, your family aren't burdened financially.

How much life insurance coverage do I need?

This is subjective, and only you can decide this. Our job is to make you aware of the risk, and talk you through what you'd actually like to cover, and how much you'd like to spend. If we had our way, everyone would be covered for well in excess of $1,000,000  - as far as we're concerned still having a Mother or a Father is worth 10x that amount. But we'll empower you to choose the amount you actually want - at the end of the day it's your money to spend.

What personal insurance products are available in New Zealand?

  • Life Insurance - Provides a lump sum payment to beneficiaries upon the insured person's death or terminal illness diagnosis. Helps cover funeral costs, outstanding debts, and financial security for loved ones.

  • Survivors Income Insurance - Ensures a regular income for surviving family members after the insured person’s passing, helping maintain financial stability.

  • Terminal Illness Cover - Offers an early payout of the life insurance benefit if the insured is diagnosed with a terminal illness, providing financial support for medical treatment and personal expenses.

  • Trauma Insurance - Pays a lump sum upon diagnosis of a major illness or injury (e.g., cancer, heart attack, stroke). Helps with medical expenses, rehabilitation, and necessary lifestyle adjustments.

  • Severe Trauma Insurance - An advanced form of trauma cover that provides higher benefit payments for the most critical medical conditions, such as late-stage cancer or severe neurological injuries.

  • Mortgage Repayment Cover - Covers mortgage payments if the insured is unable to work due to injury or illness, preventing financial strain or potential loss of the home.

  • Income Protection Insurance - Pays a monthly benefit if the insured is unable to work due to illness or injury, ensuring financial stability during recovery.

  • Specific Injury Cover - Provides set lump sum payments for predefined injuries such as fractures, burns, or loss of limbs, regardless of whether the insured can still work.

  • Total and Permanent Disability (TPD) Insurance - Provides a lump sum payout if the insured becomes permanently disabled and unable to work due to the disability.

  • Health Insurance - Covers medical expenses, including hospitalization, surgeries, and specialist treatments. Some insurers offer cancer-specific coverage.

  • Business & Key Person Insurance - Protects businesses financially if a key employee or owner becomes disabled, seriously ill, or passes away. Helps cover operational costs and business continuity.

  • Redundancy Insurance - Provides financial support in the event of unexpected job loss, helping cover expenses while searching for new employment.

  • Funeral Cover - A small lump sum benefit to assist with funeral costs, relieving financial stress for loved ones.

Can I get life insurance if I have a pre-existing health condition?

Yes, it’s possible to get life insurance with a pre-existing condition. We specialise in making sure it's the best possible outcome across all of our insurers. To counter your conditions, insurers will either exclude the condition, or cover your conditions but charge you a little more for the cover.

How do I choose the right life insurance policy for me?

Spend 45 minutes with us, we're experts - You'll know what you want by the end of that meeting.

Can I change my life insurance policy later?

Yes, you can make changes to your policy if your circumstances change. This may include increasing or decreasing coverage, adding or removing benefits, changing beneficiaries. You'll just need to tell us what's changed and we'll talk you through the rest.

How are life insurance premiums calculated?

Premiums are either fixed in and don't increase, or they increase based on factors such as your age, health, lifestyle, occupation, and the level of coverage you choose. Younger and healthier individuals generally pay lower premiums. There are also options for cover that doesn't increase in price - to find out more just ask!

How do I make a claim on my insurance?

  • If it's a medical claim, we generally only need to know what's happening, a referral letter, date of your appointment and an estimate of the costs. Get those through and we'll get the process started.

  • If it's any other product - Please pick up the phone and call Zak right now - 02102478225. If we don't answer, were just in a meeting - leave a message or text. I will take claim calls after hours, just make sure you let me know it's urgent in the text.

Can I cancel my life insurance policy at any time?

Yes, you can cancel your life insurance policy at any time. However, talk to us first. There may be things you haven't thought of like decreases and amendments. If it's the right call we'll get the paperwork together for you.
